I am 3, hear me giggle!!!

And this is the reason I love what I do!! I got to work with this little doll this morning. Her baby sister was not as apt to smile for me, but all went well...more to follow!

**Update** All images have been post processed and are on the proof site! Still playing and learning in photoshop...http://j.mangus.instaproofs.com/enterEvent.php?id=27322

Family Day in the Park

Thanks to my very close friends Michelle and Mark, we managed to pull off the first in a series of promotional sessions that I plan to do throughout the summer and into the fall. The idea is to have several mini sessions on one day with multiple families. It allows me to set up in one location and continuously work, while each families get a reduced session fee.
Unfortunately the weather didn't entirely cooperate with us; but we were able to get in lots of shots and had a pretty good time doing it. We didn't loose anyone to the lake, or the hungry ducks :) Here are just a few of the images...(link to proof collection will be posted once available).

Ewwww!!

My sister found this little creature in the back yard today...felt the need to capture the dearly departed little bug, even without a macro lens...

Taken with my Nikon D200...here's the details:
1/60 @ f/5.6 ISO 100 55mm Focal Length
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom
18-55nn f.3.5-5.6G ED

(Yup...macro lens is on the wish list!!)

New Technology!!

Well, at least new to me :) I bought a light-scribe capable dvd burner in hopes of making organizing my archived cd's and dvd's a bit easier. But I've found that I like using it as a new toy :) I finally picked up some light scribe media a couple weeks back, and have been burning away ever since. It does take some time for the burning process to complete (about 28 minutes for the one pictured), but it's unique and fun, so I certainly don't mind. This is my first attempt at a graphic w/ text (a wedding image cd for the bride and groom)...

New Beginings

With inspiration from my dear friend Cat, I have decided once again to attempt a blog. In need of a place to show off new tools, techniques, and progress in general, I will do my best to keep this one going :D
